Saint Paul Miki and Companions mug

€10,95

The Saint Paul Miki and Companions mug recalls the martyrs of Nagasaki commemorated on 6 February. It can be a gift for someone who knows their story, feels close to the Church in Japan or shares a devotion to Paul Miki. The design shows a representation of the saint and dedicates the reverse to the shared remembrance of the group.

The Christian memory of Nagasaki

Paul Miki was Japanese and had been educated at a Jesuit seminary before entering the Society of Jesus. Together with twenty-five companions, he suffered martyrdom in Nagasaki on 5 February 1597. The group included religious and lay people connected with the Christian mission in Japan.

The Saint Paul Miki and Companions mug can accompany a reading about that community or a gift for someone interested in the history of missions. The feast in the calendar is observed on 6 February, and this is the commemoration that appears in the design, together with the group's canonisation in 1862.

Paul Miki's image and the group's name

The chosen representation shows a white statue of Paul Miki with golden rays, beside a large cross and a lance. The saint covers his face in the scene. The image is dedicated to him, while the reverse preserves the group's name, canonisation and shared commemoration.

Before ordering, you can check the composition in the 3D viewer. ‘Both sides’ displays two opposing views of the same design and allows you to keep rotating them. You can also choose a right-handed or left-handed orientation; the number of mugs is selected separately.

We print the Saint Paul Miki and Companions mug by sublimation, with the image and text already prepared. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview. You can give it with a few words about what this devotion means to you. For other saints and celebrations, visit our collection of religious mugs and choose a different reminder for each person.
