Saint Paul of the Cross mug

This Saint Paul of the Cross mug can be a gift for a Paul or someone familiar with Passionist spirituality. The painting and milestones on the reverse recall the congregation’s founder. Accompany it with a few words about a reading, a retreat or the community with which you share an interest in his memory.

Saint Paul of the Cross in an image of prayer

The representation shows the elderly saint in a black habit with the Passionist emblem, contemplating a cross in his hands. The image connects him with meditation on Christ’s Passion and may appeal to someone familiar with that devotion. The design lets you dedicate the gift to a shared experience of prayer and explain the personal reason for your choice.

Paul Francis Danei sought to unite prayer in solitude with preaching among people who needed Christian formation. In Castellazzo Bormida he wrote an early draft of a rule and left a diary of his spiritual experience. The Passionist community took shape through this process of prayer, searching and discernment. This background can make the gift meaningful to someone interested in his writings or connected with one of his communities.

Birthplace, place of death and recognitions on the reverse

The mug includes his birth in Ovada in 1694 and Rome as the place of his death. It distinguishes beatification in 1853 from canonisation in 1867. His name and the 19 October commemoration complete the text prepared for the design and accompany the image dedicated to the saint.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles. Selecting Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design, with rotation still available. Choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user. The number of mugs you wish to receive is selected separately from the views shown.

We print the composition by sublimation. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview. Choose this gift for the name, history or devotion that connects you with its recipient, and accompany it with a few personal words about why you thought of them. Our collection of religious mugs includes other figures and celebrations, so you can dedicate each gift to someone in your family or community.
