Saint Óscar Arnulfo Romero Galdámez mug

The Saint Óscar Romero mug remembers the archbishop of San Salvador and his commitment to people suffering violence. It can be a gift for someone named Óscar, someone connected with El Salvador or a person who finds inspiration in his witness. The photograph of the monument and the milestones on the reverse share that memory through a gift for everyday life.

Saint Óscar Romero mug with an image of his monument

The photograph shows a sculpture of Romero with one hand raised, set in a park in Santiago, Chile. It is Francisca Cerda's monument in Plaza República de El Salvador, Vitacura. The image is a sculptural representation of the saint and recalls how his memory has spread beyond his own country.

Romero was born in Ciudad Barrios in 1917 and became archbishop of San Salvador. His homilies denounced violence and defended human dignity. He was murdered on 24 March 1980. You can accompany the gift with a few words about his life or the connection you share with the person receiving it.

Beatification and canonisation on the reverse

The Saint Óscar Romero mug carries his full name, his birth in Ciudad Barrios, El Salvador, in 1917, his beatification in San Salvador in 2015 and his canonisation on 14 October 2018. It also includes the 24 March commemoration identifying this celebration in the design. Choose it for his feast or to share a devotion with someone close to you.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles.
