Saint Ildefonso mug

Toledo holds a central place in Ildefonso's life and in this design. The Saint Ildefonso mug can be a gift for someone who shares his name, has a devotion to him or has a special connection with the city. The episcopal portrait and the details on the reverse bring these references together to accompany your good wishes or a gesture of thanks.

A life connected with Toledo

Ildefonso pursued his vocation at the Agaliense monastery, near Toledo, and became its abbot. He took part in councils of the Church in Hispania before occupying the see of Toledo. His life brings together monastic vocation, study and the responsibility of caring for the Christian community of his time.

The chosen painting depicts him in a golden mitre and cope, reading a book while holding his crozier. This image may appeal to someone who appreciates religious artistic traditions or wishes to remember the bishop. On its other side, the Saint Ildefonso mug gives Toledo as his birthplace and place of death, the year 667 and his 23 January commemoration.

His name and story, ready to give

You can give it to someone named Ildefonso on their name day or offer it with a memory of your connection with Toledo. A few words of your own can explain why you chose it: a visit you shared, a family celebration or a devotion passed from one generation to another.

The 3D viewer lets you rotate the design to check the portrait and text. If you select ‘Both sides’, you will see two opposing views of the same composition and can continue rotating the scene. You can also choose a right-handed or left-handed orientation; the number of mugs is selected separately.

We prepare the Saint Ildefonso mug using sublimation printing. The name and details are already part of the composition you review. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview. In our collection of religious mugs, you can look for other saints and choose a different gift for each person whose name day you want to celebrate.
