Transfiguration of the Lord mug with a Gospel painting

The image represents the radiant Christ above the apostles. The reproduction preserves the scene’s painterly character and connects the keepsake with a representation of the Gospel account. Choose the design for someone who appreciates religious art or wishes to keep an image associated with the feast of the Transfiguration, adding a personal message when giving the gift to explain its meaning for the recipient.

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke place Peter, James and John with Jesus on a mountain. There they see the transformation of his face and clothing, the presence of Moses and Elijah and the cloud from which the Father’s voice is heard. Christian tradition connects this manifestation with the path towards the Passion and the glory of the resurrection. A shared reading of the passage can give meaning to the gift.

The 6 August commemoration on the reverse

The Transfiguration of the Lord mug includes the feast’s name and commemoration on 6 August. The reference identifies the event accompanying the painting. Choose it for the celebration, to thank someone for work in the community or as a keepsake of a reading you wish to share with its recipient, explaining the reason for your choice when giving the gift.
