A mug dedicated to the basilicas of Saints Peter and Paul

The photograph shows the statue of Saint Paul with a book and sword before the façade of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. It provides a visual reference to one of the churches recalled by this celebration. Choose it for someone who has visited the place, knows the shrine’s history or appreciates representations of the apostles in Rome’s religious landscape.

The basilicas grew around the venerated burial places of Peter in the Vatican and Paul beside the Via Ostiense. Over time, they became major places of worship and welcome for pilgrims. Their history brings together architectural changes, celebrations and forms of devotion passed down over centuries. This background gives meaning to a gift recalling a journey or a reading about Rome’s Christian community.
