Saints Marcellinus and Peter mug

€10,95

This Saints Marcellinus and Peter mug connects a fresco from their catacombs in Rome with the names and date of their joint feast. It can be a gift for a Marcellinus, a Peter or someone interested in early Christian memory. The image offers a starting point for sharing a reading, a devotion or a memory of ancient religious art with the recipient.

Saints Marcellinus and Peter mug with a catacomb fresco

The upper part of the fresco shows Christ between Peter and Paul. In the lower band, Gorgonius, Peter, Marcellinus and Tiburtius appear beside the Lamb. The scene therefore includes more figures than the martyrs named in the mug’s dedication. Its composition can appeal to someone who appreciates ancient Christian art and wants a keepsake that preserves the setting of the original representation.

Marcellinus is remembered as a presbyter and Peter as an exorcist. Tradition links their martyrdom with the persecution under Diocletian, and the account of their passion was transmitted through an inscription by Pope Damasus. Their names also appear in the Roman Canon of the Mass. This context connects the gift with the memory of the Roman martyrs and can accompany a conversation about how their names have been preserved.

Both names and commemoration on the reverse

The Saints Marcellinus and Peter mug includes both names and commemoration on 2 June. The prepared composition links the fresco with these references to the joint feast. It identifies the saints remembered through the gift while allowing the scene to retain its wider group of figures, so that the recipient can connect the image with the devotion or shared interest behind your choice.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles. Selecting Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design, with rotation still available. Choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user. The number of mugs you wish to receive is selected separately from the views shown.

We print the composition by sublimation. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview. Choose this gift for the name, history or devotion that connects you with its recipient, and accompany it with a few personal words about why you thought of them. Our collection of religious mugs includes other figures and celebrations, so you can dedicate each gift to someone in your family or community.
