Saint Elmo Mug
This Saint Elmo mug makes a thoughtful gift for someone with a seafaring devotion or a connection to Tui and Dominican tradition. The painting shows a friar holding a boat and a lit candle, while his name and commemoration appear on the reverse. Together, the two sides give the choice a personal meaning that you can explain when handing over the gift.
A painting with a seafaring connection
Pedro González, popularly known as Saint Elmo, was a thirteenth-century Dominican friar venerated as a blessed. Before entering religious life, he belonged to the clergy of Palencia Cathedral. He later preached in different parts of the Iberian Peninsula, particularly among northern communities.
His care for fishermen and seafaring families is central to his memory. This connection helps explain the boat beside his Dominican habit and halo. The image can recall a port, a family celebration or a memory of Tui: familiar references that make this gift more personal for its recipient.
His name and commemoration on the reverse
The reverse displays his name and the 15 April commemoration used in this design. Keeping this text separate from the painting allows each side to tell part of the story. It is a fitting choice for a celebration or personal remembrance among people who know his history and his connection with seafarers.
Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles. Selecting Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design, with rotation still available. Choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user. The number of mugs you wish to receive is selected separately from the views shown.
We print the composition by sublimation. The printed text is in Spanish. Choose this gift for the name, history or devotion that connects you with its recipient, and accompany it with a few personal words about why you thought of them. Our collection of religious mugs includes other figures and celebrations, so you can dedicate each gift to someone in your family or community.
