Chair of Saint Peter mug

The Chair of Saint Peter mug recalls a feast dedicated to the Church's service of teaching and unity. The photograph of Bernini's monument in the Vatican basilica can evoke a visit to Rome or accompany a gift for someone who feels particularly close to this feast of 22 February.

Chair of Saint Peter mug with an image from the Vatican

The cathedra is the bishop's seat and expresses his mission to teach the Gospel. The feast of the Chair of Saint Peter connects this image with the ministry entrusted to Peter and with the Roman see. Its commemoration has been documented in Rome since Christian antiquity.

The design reproduces a photograph of Bernini's monument, completed in 1666. The light from the stained-glass window and the figures in the composition form one of the most recognisable images of the basilica's interior. It can be a gift for someone who enjoys religious art or wishes to preserve a memory of their pilgrimage to Rome.

The name of the feast and its date

The Chair of Saint Peter mug dedicates the reverse to the name of the feast and 22 February. The motif focuses on this celebration and its artistic representation. A card recalling your journey or a few words about what it means to the recipient can accompany the gift and explain why you chose it.

We print the design by sublimation. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview. Before ordering, you can check the photograph and reverse in the 3D viewer, rotate the composition and choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user. Activating Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design; the number of mugs is selected separately.

The Chair of Saint Peter mug can also accompany a community commemoration or a thank you between people who share their faith. If you are looking for other celebrations and figures from the calendar, browse our collection of religious mugs and choose each motif with its recipient in mind.
