The Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio mug recalls a life that connected Galicia and Mexico through work, roads and Franciscan service. It can be a gift for someone who knows his devotion in Puebla, has a connection with La Gudiña or wishes to mark his 25 February commemoration with a personal reminder.

Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio mug, from La Gudiña to Puebla

Sebastian was born in La Gudiña in 1502 and worked in the fields from his youth. After travelling to New Spain, he developed a transport business using carts and took part in improving roads. This experience explains the presence of oxen and references to transport in images representing him.

After a long working life, he entered the Order of Friars Minor. As a Franciscan brother, he served as an alms collector and travelled the roads again to gather resources for his community. His story can hold special meaning for someone who values everyday service and the ability to begin a new chapter.

Maella's painting and the reverse details

The Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio mug reproduces a painting by Mariano Salvador de Maella. The blessed friar appears in a Franciscan habit, beside oxen and before musician angels. The other side gives his birth in La Gudiña in 1502, Puebla de los Ángeles as his place of death and his beatification on 17 May 1789.

You can choose it to share a family devotion or remember a visit to Puebla. We print the design by sublimation. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview. Before ordering, the 3D viewer lets you check the image and text, rotate the composition and select the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user.

Both sides mode presents two opposing views of the same design; the desired quantity is selected separately.
