The depiction lets you dedicate the gift to someone who knows his catechisms or is interested in figures of the Society of Jesus. Connect your choice with a shared experience and explain which aspect of his history prompted the gift.

Canisius brought together university teaching, preaching, the creation of colleges and the publication of catechisms. His work took place in German-speaking territories during the religious disputes of the sixteenth century. Contact with Peter Faber influenced his decision to enter the Society of Jesus. Educating the faithful and clergy was central to his work, alongside pastoral care. This background can give meaning to a keepsake connected with education or the recipient’s interest in that historical period.

Nijmegen and Fribourg on the reverse

The mug includes his name, birth in Nijmegen in 1521 and Fribourg as his place of death. The reverse records his canonisation in 1925 and the commemoration on 21 December. These references accompany the portrait to identify the priest whose memory you have chosen to share.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles.
