taza-santa-martina
Saint Martina mug

A Martina in your family or a shared devotion may be the reason to choose the Saint Martina mug. The design recalls the Roman martyr with a religious painting and her name on the reverse. You can give it for the feast of 30 January or as a personal gift that invites you to explain why you thought of her.

Martina within a religious scene

The painting presents the Virgin and Child among angels. In the lower part appear Saint Martina, accompanied by a palm and a lion, and Saint Agnes. The design preserves this shared composition, so the image dedicated to Martina forms part of a wider scene of devotional art.

Martina's memory is connected with Rome and the church in the Forum that has borne her name since the early Middle Ages. Later, the church became associated with the Academy of Saint Luke and the history of the city's painters. The Saint Martina mug can also be a reminder for someone who enjoys visiting churches and discovering Roman religious art.

Her name and the January feast

The other side bears Saint Martina's name and the 30 January commemoration. If that day has special meaning in your family, you can accompany the gift with a written greeting or a memory of an earlier celebration. Choosing the saint lets you make the gift personal without having to prepare the design yourself.

Check the painting and text in the 3D viewer. Selecting ‘Both sides’ displays two opposing views of the same composition, which you can continue rotating.
