taza-san-marcos
Saint Mark Mug

This Saint Mark mug can accompany a greeting for someone named Mark or a gift between people who read the Gospel together. The painting shows the evangelist writing, with a winged lion at his feet. His name and commemoration on the reverse make it a personal reminder for someone in your family or community, connected with the tradition represented by the image.

The symbol of the evangelist

A red cloak, a book and the winged lion form part of the chosen painting. The composition presents the saint in the act of writing and retains the elements that make him recognisable in Christian art. Choose it for someone who appreciates these representations or who has shared a visit to Venice with you.

Tradition attributes the second of the canonical Gospels to Mark and links its transmission with Peter's preaching. His memory brings together accounts of the earliest communities and a veneration particularly associated with Alexandria and Venice. The lion beside him also became an emblem of Venice. These references offer different reasons for choosing the image, depending on the recipient's interests and memories.

A name and feast day to remember

The reverse displays his name and 25 April commemoration. Image and text occupy separate sides, allowing you to dedicate the gift to his name, a reading or a shared devotion. Your own message can explain the choice. Give it for a name day, to thank someone in your community for their companionship or to remember a city that connects you.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles. Selecting Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design, with rotation still available. Choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user. The number of mugs you wish to receive is selected separately from the views shown.

We print the composition by sublimation. The printed text is in Spanish. Choose this gift for the name, history or devotion that connects you with its recipient, and accompany it with a few personal words about why you thought of them.
