taza-santa-margarita-de-hungria
Saint Margaret of Hungary mug

The Saint Margaret of Hungary mug is a way to give a reminder of her to a Margaret, someone close to the Dominican tradition or someone who shares this devotion with you. Her image and life details occupy different sides of the mug, connecting the saint's figure with the places and canonisation date that help put her story in context.

A princess who chose Dominican life

Margaret was born in 1242 in the fortress of Klis, into a family connected with the Hungarian monarchy. She was educated among Dominican nuns, and her life became linked to the convent on Rabbit Island in Buda. The memory of that vocation can give the gift a particular meaning for someone interested in the spirituality of the Order of Preachers.

The illustration shows her in a Dominican habit, with a lily and a book. The image lets you recognise that religious affiliation at first glance. The Saint Margaret of Hungary mug carries her name, birth year and place, and the convent in Buda as the place of death on the reverse.

Her canonisation and the January celebration

The composition also records 19 November 1943, the date of her canonisation, and the 18 January commemoration. You can choose it for a Margaret who celebrates on that day or accompany it with a few words about your connection with the saint. The canonisation date helps trace her memory beyond her medieval life.

In the 3D viewer, you can observe the portrait and read the reverse. “Both sides” shows two opposing views of the same composition and retains rotation. You can also choose a right- or left-handed layout before adding the quantity you wish to receive.

We prepare the Saint Margaret of Hungary mug using sublimation printing.
