taza-santa-domitila
Saint Domitilla Mug

This Saint Domitilla mug can be a reminder for a namesake or someone interested in the history of the early Christians. The chosen painting brings Domitilla together with Nereus and Achilleus in a composition by Peter Paul Rubens. Image and name dedicate the gift to a figure preserved in the memory of the martyrs, with a personal connection to the recipient.

A painting by Rubens

The photograph shows the painting in its gilded frame in Santa Maria in Vallicella in Rome. Domitilla appears with Saints Nereus and Achilleus. This artistic reference is linked to her devotion and can be chosen for the recipient's interest in religious painting or the memory of a visit to Rome.

Tradition remembers Domitilla as a Roman Christian exiled during Domitian's rule. The martyrological memory preserves her witness of faith and connection with the family of Flavius Clemens. Ancient accounts differ over her kinship and place of exile. The design therefore centres its text on her name and commemoration, without turning those versions into an apparently definitive printed chronology.

Her name and the 7 May commemoration

The reverse carries her name and 7 May commemoration, clearly identifying the figure accompanying the image. Give it with a few words about faith, Roman history or a reading you wish to share. It can mark a name day or recall a devotion that connects you.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles. Selecting Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design, with rotation still available. Choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user. The number of mugs you wish to receive is selected separately from the views shown.

We print the composition by sublimation. The printed text is in Spanish. Choose this gift for the name, history or devotion that connects you with its recipient, and accompany it with a few personal words about why you thought of them. Our collection of religious mugs includes other figures and celebrations, so you can dedicate each gift to someone in your family or community.

Saint Domitilla with Saints Nereus and Achilleus, by Peter Paul Rubens, in Santa Maria in Vallicella in Rome.
