The design combines the bishop's name with a photograph of ancient Corinth. To greet someone named Dionysius or share an interest in history, accompany the gift with a conversation about his city and legacy.

Saint Dionysius of Corinth mug with a view of his city

The photograph shows columns of the Temple of Apollo at the ancient Corinth archaeological site. It depicts the historical surroundings of the city where Dionysius was bishop in the second century, rather than the saint or a Christian church. It can appeal especially to someone who enjoys archaeology or remembers a journey through Greece.

Dionysius wrote to communities in Greece, Asia Minor and Rome. His letters addressed faith, living together and support between Churches. Eusebius of Caesarea preserved accounts and fragments of these writings. In his correspondence with Rome, he expressed gratitude for material support reaching other Christians. The bishop's memory is thus connected with communication and care for people living far apart.

A name and a date to dedicate the keepsake

The Saint Dionysius of Corinth mug carries his name and the 8 April commemoration on the reverse. The brief composition connects the photograph of Corinth with the saint to whom the design is dedicated. Give it for a name day or to someone with whom you share readings about Christianity's beginnings, bringing a name, a place and a story into one gift.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles. Selecting Both sides displays two opposing views of the same design, with rotation still available. Choose the handle orientation for a right-handed or left-handed user.
