The image of the kneeling prince and the details on the reverse bring together art and religious memory in a design you can give for someone's name or a shared devotion.

Saint Casimir mug with Jan Matejko's image

Jan Matejko's watercolour, painted in 1863, depicts Casimir kneeling, wrapped in a red cloak trimmed with ermine. His prayerful posture occupies the centre of the composition. This artistic representation links his position as a prince with the spirituality for which he is remembered. The painting provides the visual focus of the design.

Casimir belonged to the Polish royal family and received a humanist education. He took on responsibilities of government during his father's absences, while his religious memory became associated with prayer, austerity and care for people in need. This combination of public responsibility and a life of faith can give meaning to a gift for someone interested in his story.

A commemoration you can see from both sides

The reverse of the Saint Casimir mug includes his name, the date of his death on 4 March 1484 and his commemoration on 4 March. Turning it lets you move from the painting to the text and identify the details accompanying the image. The design already contains these references, so you do not have to write them. Choose the printed text language in the customiser and check it in the preview.

Before ordering, inspect the composition in the 3D viewer. Both sides mode places two opposing views of the same design together and lets you keep rotating the scene.
