The mosaic lets you dedicate the gift to someone who enjoys early Christian art or knows the bishop’s memory. Connect the depiction with a conversation or a shared experience to explain why you chose this motif.

Ambrose came to the episcopate from the imperial administration. He had studied law and was serving as governor when he intervened in the dispute over the election of Milan’s bishop. His own election transformed the official’s life into that of a pastor and student of Scripture. His literary education and knowledge of Greek contributed to his preaching and writings. This background can give meaning to a gift for someone interested in the relationship between culture, public responsibility and religious life.

Trier and Milan on the reverse

The mug includes his name, Trier as his birthplace and death in Milan on 4 April 397. The prepared commemoration is on 7 December, the anniversary of his episcopal consecration. The feast date is therefore distinguished from the date of his death.

Before ordering, you can rotate the composition in the 3D viewer to examine the image and text from different angles.
